Planning a stag is a lot of pressure, but it’s also a lot of hassle. 10 lads of different ages, social groups and interests coming together for a weekend brings A LOT of questions:
Where should we go?
How much is it going to cost?
What dates can everyone do?
The list continues, but 3 Points helped me answer all of these questions, we just had to pick the date. This is how our recent stag was sorted by 3 Points and an unforgettable weekend made. I’ve known Dave since our school days so had an idea about what he’d like. I only had a short brief; somewhere in Europe and be mindful of budget. Not a lot to go on?
After what felt like a thousand Google searches, stag locations, stag ideas, where to go on a stag, what activities are popular on stag do’s? I stumbled across 3 Points and their product seemed too good to be true…an all inclusive weekend abroad to watch a mystery football team? I had to read it twice, and the best part, the stag went free?! I’d hit the jackpot. It had everything - with an upfront price and exciting twist that kept the stag location a secret, avoiding the usual accidental slip fo the location of the stag long before arriving at the airport.

We opted for a 3 Points Division 2 package (at £400pp), this gave us a good chance of a nice city with an impressive football team. We used the deposit option, so the lads just had to ping me £150 each and the booking was secured, balance wasn’t due to nearer to departure which made things easier to spread the cost for people. As an added extra, 3 Points agreed to throw in mystery team merch for the stag, with a personalised shirt. Fancy dress, sorted.
Obviously the stag is more than just a 90 minute match, but 3 Points knew that and offer a range of additional extras that you can add into your trip. We opted to add a city tour, brewery tour and local food market tour. Oh, and the airport transfer was a great touch to get us to our accommodation. We felt like we were on the team bus arriving in the city.
Our location was Lisbon, and our game Sporting. The Portuguese champions and a Saturday evening kick-off which allowed us to soak in the local atmosphere and Super Bock. We had 10 seats together in the main stand and joined in with locals, mixing in with our scarves and new Sporting shirt. I don’t know how they managed it, but i am glad that it wasn’t me having to try and book them. It was a great game: 3 goals, 3 points and thanks to 3 Points, a happy (and merry) stag.

It was perfect, it took all of the hassle out of the organisation of the stag itself but it was also thrilling - nobody, even myself as the stag organiser knew we were going. We like the old flutter, but this was a gamble that truly paid off. Getting Dave to the airport in fancy dress to reveal our location at the airport Wetherspoons was just the perfect start to a truly memorable weekend. The personalised City Guide and Club Guide gave us lots of info to read up in between pints ahead of the flight. Our accommodation was top drawer, with a spacious villa being booked to house all 10 people comfortably, not to mention the table tennis championship that commenced.

Although I was in the dark about the destination, I never felt out the loop. 3 Points were always in contact, keeping me updated about the status of the trip and extra activity details. It was really easy to modify parts of the weekend and they went above and beyond knowing it was special occasion. I couldn’t recommend it enough - let 3 Points take the hassle out of your planning, keep the stag group up to date with clear and upfront pricing and personalise your trip with mystery team merch and activities across the weekend to explore the city.
What goes on tour stays on tour naturally, but there is no hiding that 3 Points did all the week to create us a Winning Weekend. Make sure to check them out when organising yours!
